‘Drive to Worlds’ Dplus KIA uses fans’ passionate support as fuel to start toward victory!
Dplus KIA, the first LCK team to consecutively qualify for the League of Legends World Championship for five years, has announced the slogan 'Drive to Worlds' and prepared various events to provide fans with special experiences.
Firstly, on the 23rd, they will host a fan meeting event, 'Dplus KIA FAN MEET UP,' at Yes 24 Live Hall, marking the beginning of their journey towards winning the 2023 LOL World Championship. The FAN MEET UP, also serving as the opening ceremony for the 2023 LOL World Championship, will include players' self-prepared talents, game competitions with fans, their determination for the competition, high-touch events, and more. It is scheduled to provide fans with an unforgettable experience over four hours. Additionally, various fan meeting MD products, including player photo books & cards, Worlds jackets, and alpaca dolls, have been prepared to make the event even more enriching.
In addition, Dplus KIA will host a viewing party called "Dplus KIA Fan Festa (DFF)" at Gyeonghuigung, offering an unforgettable experience for overseas fans visiting Korea during the 2023 LOL World Championship.
This event marks the first step of the regional origin and cultural heritage activation agreement that Dplus KIA announced with Jongno-gu on Wednesday, the 20th. It is planned to provide an opportunity for the younger generation who enjoy esports to experience Korea's history and culture through various cultural heritage sites located in Jongno. Particularly, Gyeonghuigung holds historical significance as the place where King Jeongjo, King Gyeongjong, and King Heonjong of the Joseon Dynasty held their coronation ceremonies. Dplus KIA aims to add meaning to their historic challenge towards the world championship, and detailed information about DFF will be announced through the team's official social media channels.
Mr. Lee Jun-young, Vice President of Dplus KIA, stated, "Dplus KIA intends to promote the Korean charm and identity globally by conducting a concept photo shoot in Hanbok and hosting DFF at Gyeonghuigung, located in Jongno, the heart of Seoul. Furthermore, we hope that Dplus KIA's victory at Worlds will be a meaningful opportunity to showcase the strength of South Korea on the global stage."
