Additionally, they have announced plans to cooperate on regional economic activation, addressing urban issues, and improving the quality of life for local residents. Jongno-gu, known as the 'heart of Seoul,' aims to utilize Dplus KIA's intellectual property (IP) in various projects to make cultural heritage and major cultural events within the area more accessible and familiar to the MZ generation, which forms a significant part of eSports fans. Dplus KIA, having become the first LCK team to qualify for the League of Legends World Championship for five consecutive years, plans to organize fan events utilizing Jongno-gu's major cultural heritage sites during the championship period. The agreement between Dplus KIA and Jongno-gu is not limited to short-term events but aims to establish a long-term cooperative relationship, including preparations for an eSports regional origin system. Jongno-gu plans to actively utilize eSports, centered around the IP of Dplus KIA, with its diverse eSports teams, to achieve advanced modernization by leveraging both tangible and intangible cultural assets in the region. The goal is to propel Jongno into a global entertainment city. Dplus KIA, in collaboration with Jongno-gu, will cooperate in hosting various events related to gaming, eSports, and cultural activities within the region. The team plans to expand offline interaction points where fans can participate, organizing events at various cultural heritage sites and cultural facilities in Jongno. Furthermore, to ensure healthy and enjoyable eSports consumption for Jongno residents, the team will conduct various community activities, including game literacy education and eSports career education.
